Castle Creations is back on board this year, sending us a few of their latest products to pass along to you!
This first is their new Sidewinder 4 Sensorless ESC. This ESC is fantastic for smaller rides (anything under 6.5lbs) and can handle a 2-3S LiPo or 6-8 cell NiMH. It’s sensorless design means it can be paired with a large selection of sensorless motors. It also features a waterproof design and comes equipped with a splash-resistant 30mm cooling fan attached on top. Audible alerts, smooth sensorless startup are also built in and it can be updated and configured using Castle’s V3 USB Programming kit.
Which brings us to item number 2 – the Castle Link V3 USB Programming Kit. This programming kit allows you tap into your Castle ESC, tweaking and configuring it to maximize the performance for whatever terrain you’re on. The simple programming interface has all-in-one support for all Phoenix, Talon, Thunderbird, QuadPack, DMR, Mamba, Sidewinder and Hydra controllers – simply plug in and edit away.
The next item on the giveaway is Castle’s new B-Link Bluetooth Adapter. The B-Link plugs inline between your ESC and receiver and allows you to make adjustments to your ESC via a Bluetooth app on your smart phone. Its small footprint won’t hinder operation and can be mounted just about anywhere – it’s completely waterproof! While the App is free, it is only available for use with Apple devices.
