AVID RC has taken their popular Triad Slipper Clutch to the next level with the introduction of the Evo Slipper Plates. These 7075-T6 aluminum, hard-anodized plates have been modified to no longer require the use of the 3 little plastic washers; they now feature a trick, self-centering design. In addition, vented slots have been added to help reduce weight and cool the plates during heavy use.
AVID has also let us know that from this point on, future clutches will get these plates as a running change. If you already have the Triad Clutch, you can purchase the plates separately to upgrade your current system.
