AVID RC has some new carbon fiber parts for the Team Associated RC8B3 that you’re going to want to check out. These front and rear shock towers are direct replacements for the stock aluminum, shedding a whopping 17g while still retaining the exceptional ruggedness that you need for 1:8 scale racing.
Both towers are 5mm thick. This adds 1mm of thickness to the rear tower which, in turn, moves the wing back 1mm.
