Redcat Racing has just announced a new rig in the 1/10 scale rock racing arena – the Wendigo.
The Wendigo comes as a RTR rock racer, features a stout 4WD drivetrain, 3-link front/4-link rear suspension setup, solid axles and a tuneable suspension that includes anti-roll bars and threaded aluminum shocks.
The electronics package is looking good as well – Hobbywing 3300kV 540-size brushless motor, Hobbywing waterproof 60A ESC capable of 2S or 3S LiPo and a waterproof 25KG metal-geared steering servo – all controlled with a 2.4GHz radio system.
Appearance-wise, the Wendigo rolls on a beautiful set of Raceline Avenger wheels wrapped in Interco 2.2″ Super Swamper tires. Sitting atop the dual ladder-frame chassis is a rock racer body that features a full roll cage, cockpit and drivers. There’s even a few other details thrown in; drivers with adjustable visors, nav screen, fuel cell and a radiator with cooling fans.
This looks like it might be a really fun offroader – going to put this on my must have list!
