With how scale RC has become over the past years, it still amazes me that no one has come up with a really good body mounting system that doesn’t have huge body clips. Well, that is until now … check out this killer body-clipless setup from RPM RC Products!!
This system is designed for the Traxxas Slash 2WD and 4WD and uses an underbody mounting system that does away with body clips. Simply attach a plastic framework to the underside of the hood (using four, unobtrusive screws) and a cool looking mock-radiator setup out back and you’re all set. The front slips into a catch mounted to the front tower while the back settles into a locking mechanism. To secure, simply turn the ‘fan blades’ until they underbody clips lock the body in place.
Brilliant idea! I hope to see RPM modify this setup to fit on other vehicles as well!
