Exciting news from the Tamiya camp is the 2016 re-release of their infamous Blackfoot Monster Truck! It’s been modernized a bit but still features the classis Ford, hard-body shell while riding on the 2015 Monster Beetle chassis.
The familiar red space frame is used along with the double wishbone front suspension and trailing arm rear suspension. Included with the kit are the CVA oil shocks and rear universal drive shafts with rubber boots for protection. A driver figure rides in the cab and a resin undercover protects the gearbox. The Blackfoot rolls on 123mm tires with a semi-pneumatic lug patters and yellow, 1-piece wheels.
While this wasn’t my first hobby-level RC truck (the Tamiya Subaru Brat was), this is the truck that got me heavily into RC. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!
