Three New Releases from Tamiya – King Yellow 6×6, Neo Scorcher and F104 Pro II

Three New Releases from Tamiya - King Yellow 6x6, Neo Scorcher and F104 Pro II

The All Japan Model and Hobby Show will be taking place this weekend and we’ve heard from a little birdy that Tamiya will be showing off three new rides – the King Yellow 6×6, the Neo Scorcher and the F104 Pro II.

The King Yellow 6×6 is based on the recently released Kong 6×6, rolling on the GF-01 6-wheel chassis. Double wishbone suspension, friction dampers, gear differentials and a 6WD drivetrain are all standard features. The coolest part, though, is the bad ass school bus body! I can see a full-blown Monster Truck build in the near future!

The Neo Scorcher is a 4WD buggy that is based on the TT-02B chassis – yes, that’s the popular TT-02 road course chassis under it (the B is, of course, for Buggy). Longer suspension arms, CVA shocks and large buggy bumpers set it apart from the onroad version as does the limited edition blue metallic body.

Finally, Tamiya is releasing an updated F1 car, the F104 Pro II. It’s based on the lightweight F104 but is fitted with various Tamiya hop ups, giving it the Pro II status. Thicker FRP T-bar, TRF damper and aluminum ball diff are some of the cool features on this car.

Tamiya is shooting for an early 2018 release on all three of these, so be sure to get your orders in soon – I know we are!
