Team Associated Takes Home 3 Wins at JBRL Electric R1

Round one of the JBRL Electric Series kicked off at OC/RC in Huntington Beach, California. Last year’s series entries held steady around the 200 mark, but this year looks to top that with just under 400 entries for the first race. The first heat of qualifying started at 9am sharp and racing didn’t end until past 2am. Talk about a long day of racing!

Team Associated held a strong presence in each class. Matt Chapman was the first to bring home a first place title in the Stock Buggy class with a great run. Chris Jarosz capitalized on a great start from back in the grid and found himself out front of the ultra-competitive 2WD Modified class. He drove a steady main to take home the coveted win in Mod Buggy. Last up in the early hours of the morning was 1:8 eBuggy. Matthew Olson was able to keep focus to take the win in the 10-minute long main and secure a third win for Team Associated.

Next stop for the series will be out at Palm Desert RC Raceway. Look for Team Associated/Reedy/LRP drivers to contest each round, and be on hand to offer support.
