Hi Doc-
I have a XTM X-Cellerator and the controls seem to work in the opposite direction than they should. Would you have any idea why? I appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.

Hey Sean,
Reversed controls is a pretty common occurrence that fortunately has a very easy fix. Since you didn’t tell me if you had the electric or nitro version, I’ll cover both for you.
Electric X-Cellerator: Most likely the problem is with a switch on the transmitter itself. On the top of the transmitter you should see two littel white switches; one is for the steering servo, the other is for the throttle (ESC). If your steering is reversed (you turn the wheel to the left and the tires point to the right), simply flip the steering switch. You may need to use the Steering Trim (located just above the steering wheel) to center the steering. If the throttle is backwards (pulling the trigger makes the truck go in reverse), you can try resetting the ESC first. If that doesn’t work, flip the switch up top (the throttle one) and try resetting again. That should do it.
Nitro X-Cellerator: First off, make sure the truck is not running; on is ok but make sure the engine is off. For the steering, use the same method as above. The throttle should be much easier for the nitro; just flip the switch. Do test the throttle to make sure it is in the closed position when the trigger is at neutral (again, with the engine off).
Since XTM has gone through a few different phases of transmitters, the position of the switches might vary slightly, but you should get the idea.
