Tamiya XV-02 Pro Video Build – Part 1

Welcome everyone to our Tamiya XV-02 Pro Online Build Video Series.

In this video, Part 1, we start the build process with an intro regarding the tools we suggest you have to make the build extremely enjoyable. We also chat a bit about the manual before we get into the actual build steps – the steering, front and rear differentials and the shock tower supports.

While you can use the kit supplied tools to build the car, we do think a quality set of tools will help you build AND maintain the car. We’ve listed the tools we use below.

Thanks for watching and enjoy the video.

Thanks for watching and enjoy the video.

Tamiya XV-02 Pro Video Build – Part 3

Thanks everyone for tuning in to Part 3 of the Tamiya XV-02 Pro online video build.

In this video we continue the suspension assembly with the caster blocks, rear hubs, shock towers and CVDs. We also drop in the motor and show you the best way to set the gear mesh.

Our new CompetitionX Ball Cup Building Tool appears again in this video – check out the link below for more info on it!

Thanks for watching and enjoy the video.

Tamiya XV-02 Pro Video Build – Part 4

Welcome back to Part 4 and the final installment to Tamiya’s XV-02 Pro Rally video build.

We wrap up this Series with the shock assembly, installing the rest of the electronics (ESC, servo and receiver), some final assembly parts and the wheels, tires, inner dust shield and body set.

For this build we are using Tamiya’s Lancia Delta body set for it’s low front and rear overhangs, allowing us to drive the car a bit harder without fear of catching the body on jumps, bumps or dips.

We’d also like to thank Futaba, Hitec, Reedy and Tamiya for their support with this project. We think the XV-02 is a solid performer on dirt Rally courses and can’t wait to get some more wheel time with it!

Also, if you haven’t yet done so, check out our CompetitionX Ball Cup Building Tool. This tool makes building turnbuckles or installing shock rod ends a breeze – see the link below
