Avalon Vortex Touring Car Body
The new Vortex body from Avalon Racing is one of the first bodies to embrace the ultra-low profile touring cars on the market. The design is said to generate a ton of downforce – VERY low, angled front end, bubbly top (to achieve rule-legality) and a unique ducktail at the rear (and under the rear wing) for loads of grip. Even the rear of the Vortex has special, angular areas to strengthen the rear of the car and help disrupt air.

What I Like:
Honestly – I think this body is downright… AWESOME! The super-sleek front, puffy fenders and crazy rear deck – all of it looks amazing. Well, except for the bubbly roof, but I guess there’s no getting away from that. I love it!
What I’m Not Sure About:
As far as I know, this is the first body to really take advantage of the low-profile TC chassis kits, which means the next-gen body sets (from whoever) are about to get downright wacky. And, if this body works, this could start the next wave of low-profile car-designs as well.
