AVID RC has released a few new items for the Team Associated B6-series buggy. These parts are manufactured from titanium and are direct replacements for the stock parts.
First up are the AV1063 Titanium Steering Screws. These are much lighter than the stock screws (about 3g) and are shouldered to help remove slop in the rack. Kit comes with 2 3x12mm Titanium screws and 2 3x20mm Titanium shouldered screws.
Next is the AV1064 Titanium Battery Posts. These posts replace the stock shouldered steel posts and, besides saving a total of 1.4g, looks absolutely killer. They come with aluminum holdown nuts that are anodized black with silver highlights. Kit comes with 2 Titanium posts and 2 black-anodized aluminum nuts.
Triad Titanium Wing Screws are next on the list, replacing the stock screw-through-pad design. These low-profile buttons come in two flavors; polished and oil-slick. They are machined from 6AI-4V Titanium, have a 12mm screw head and are broached to allow easy installation and removal. They weigh in at a measly .34g each and are designed for both offroad and onroad applications. Kit includes two wing screws.
The final release is AVID’s AV1071 Titanium Screw Kit. This 90-pc set can be used on either the B6 or B6D, reducing the overall weight by 40% (over the stock screw set). The kit includes:
