This new Serpent SRX8GTR 1/8 Nitro Kit is a replica-offering of the same car used to win the EFRA 1/8 Nitro GT European Championship. It mimics the R-version but includes a 3mm flat chassis (for more grip), carbon suspension arms, new suspension brackets and lightweight aluminum bulkheads.

What I Like:
The bigger 1/8 scale onroad cars have always been fascinating to me (not the nitro ones – the E-ones). Always wanted to do it, just never got into it. That being said, it’s cool to see Serpent fine-tuning an existing car to the point that it can win a European Championship.
What I’m Not Sure About:
With the minor tweaks, I think an EC conversion kit would be a better seller than a whole new car.
