Power and control are nothing without a proper power source, so this month’s ESRC ride will be getting it’s juice from ProTek RC. We were looking for a shorty pack and something in the 2S range that had enough juice to keep the drift tires spinning non-stop. I think we found a winner!
Enter ProTek RC’s 2S 4250mAh Hard Case LiPo pack. This pack is designed as a shorty, meaning it is quite a bit shorter than a standard LiPo, perfect for the 3Racing Sakura D4 and it’s narrow battery tray. It’s a hard case, something we always suggest as it helps protect the battery in the event you should drop it or it takes a hit while in the car. Then there’s the 4250mAh – a pretty sizeable number for a shorty pack and should easily keep your wheels a’spinnin’ for a good long time.
The battery has 5mm charging connectors and a 2mm balance plug in the case, so you’ll need to pick up a charger that can handle that.
It’s ROAR/EFRA/IFMAR approved – nothing you need to worry about unless you plan on using this battery in some sort of race car at one of those events. It’s just good to know that the pack itself has been approved for racing.
