Axial SCX10 III Rock Crawler Builder’s Kit

Axial SCX10 III Rock Crawler Builders Kit

Axial brings another variation of its popular SCX10 III to market – but it’s not what you think. Instead of a full blown, full-featured rig that is ready to hit the trails, the Builder’s Kit is just that – a kit, one that you have to assemble and load up with your favorite electronics, body, wheels and tires.

It comes with all the great features of the SCX10 II RTR:

• SCX10 III Steel C-Channel Chassis
• Adjustable Metal Panhard Mount
• Three modular battery trays (88mm/100mm/112mm)
• Optimized Suspension
• Eleven universal body mounts included
• Standard AR45 straight axles
• 6mm Suspension Links
• LCXU Dig Transmission
• All-metal pivot balls
• 90mm tunable oil-filled coil-over shocks
• All-metal gears
• Full ball bearings
• Accommodates a wide variety of body styles

What We Like:
I’m always a big fan of builder’s kit for one simple reason – in most cases I’m interested in the vehicle, but not the body. Or the wheels/tire. Or the electronics. And, in most cases, the body, wheels and tires are the first things I replace. Oh, and the servo. So, a builder’s kit allows me to enjoy the rig – on it’s own – with my own choice of running gear.

What We’re Not Sure About:
Builder’s kits ALWAYS cost alot more than RTRs. And there’s also the wait time to drive. it. That part sucks.
