While the Base Camp isn’t new from Axial, bringing it to us in 1/24 scale is! That’s right – meet the newest SCX24 on the block, all decked out with some great electronics, a stylish body and some oversized wheels and tires!
The body looks great and comes in 3 different colors – white, pink and blue. Underneath, the Base Camp comes loaded with a Spektrum 10A brushed ESC / SLT receiver combo, Dynamite 88T brushed motor, AS-1 micro servo and a Spektrum 350mAh LiPo battery and USB charger – all controlled with Spektrum’s SLT2 2.4GHz radio system.

What We Like:
We’ve always loved the idea of the Base Camp – it’s a work-only rig that just gets the job done. No frills, no added weight. And for $100, it’s a great way to get into the hobby.
What We’re Not Sure About:
Pink seems like an odd color, however we think it might appeal to the female RC group. So, yeah.
