A new Formula 1 kit has arisen from Fenix – the Mistral. This 1:10 scale is based around a 2.5mm carbon fiber chassis that allows the battery to be positioned in 3 different positions; the standard inline system and across the chassis near the front or near the back. The two cross-chassis positions shift the battery pack a total of 10mm, allowing this setup to be used for weight bias tuning.
Other cool features include a motor mount that secures the motor at the lowest point, keeping it mounted in the chassis as low as possible. For additional weight tuning, a narrow mid-chassis allows weight to be attached to the bottom of your cross-chassis shorty LiPo.
Up front, carbon fiber is used for stiffness and includes a lot of adjustability including camber, caster and toe.
