The crew over at R1Wurks has been busy lately, pumping out all kinds of cool stuff including this new 3-Gear Transmission set for the Team Associated B7!
This optional gearbox swaps out the stock 5-gear transmission with a CNC-machined 3-gear setup, reducing rotating mass and lowering the overall weight. It includes the transmission halves, idler gear, brace, mounting hardware and is a direct fit in place of the stock parts.

What We Like:
We’ve been seeing quite a bit of cool stuff coming from the R1 camp and it’s nice to see them focusing on new arrivals (ie, the B7). We’re sure they’re using their drag racing designs as a base for some of these transmission kits which, in all honesty, works out great for both R1 and their customers.
What We’re Not Sure About:
It’s a bit of a steep price, but we’re sure the benefits at the top end of the racing classes will be ok with that.
