Team Associated has launched another new ride on their Apex2 Sport chassis, the ST550.
The ST550, AKA Super Touring 550, shares the same chassis and electronics layout as the rest of their Apex2 Sport lineup. There are a couple changes, however, including a battery tray that will accept a shorty LiPo or a full-size LiPo (with some minor modifications – all included). The ESC mounts to a servo-topped tray with the receiver mounting UNDER the same tray. The car includes full Oilite bushings except for the center diff area – ball bearings are included there.

What We Like:
We have one of these and, after driving it a bit on an actual track, absolutely LOVE the way it looks with that Super Touring body on it. Handling-wise, it’s quite good on the stock tires. We’ve done a little testing, a little tweaking and it’s really starting to come around.
What We’re Not Sure About:
It’s a bit on the portly side.
