Site Statistics – Where Has CompetitionX Gone?

Site Statistics - Where Has CompetitionX Gone?

Every month I publish CompetitionX traffic statistics to provide transparency for readers, advertisers, manufacturers and fellow RC enthusiasts interested in the growth of the site.

January 2026 Highlights

Well, you may be asking yourself – where’s the rest of the Site Statistics? Easy answer – CompetitionX is undergoing some changes. I will no longer be a full-on RC News site – that’s not what my intentions were with CX on Day 1. The fact is, I wanted CompetitionX to be a helpful place for racers of all skill levels to come and learn about RC – helpful, guides, reviews, projects – basically, a knowledge base of articles to help make your time with Radio Control more enjoyable.

That being said, January is probably the last month I was fully committed to the site as it is now. A new, fresh website is in the works that will focus more on helping you with RC:

News – More of the major releases, less of the boring stuff
RC Tuning Base – MASSIVE new additions – Suspension Tuning, Quick Setup Guide, Tuning Setup Order, Transmitter Settings Guide and ESC Settings Guide
RC Guides – Getting Started stuff, How Tos and additional helpful knowledge base materials
RC Reviews – Your favorite Vehicle and Product Reviews. I’ll also be doing alot more Project stuff as well
RC Tech – Motor Academy, Radio Academy, ESC Academy, Servo Academy and Battery Academy, all categories filled with helpful articles on those subjects
RC Manuals – Yes, we still have them. And now servicing Battery, ESC and Transmitter manuals as well
Additional – We’re adding our own 3D Print section as well as these monthly Site Stats

Traffic Sources

Direct Traffic remains the largest source of traffic, followed by Organic Search and Social Media Referrals. I think once the new site is up, that Organic Search is going to bypass the Direct Traffic quickly.

What’s Next

Over the next few months, I’m going to continue to get CompetitionX migrated to the new location, keeping only the good content and dumping everything else. I’m excited about the new RC Tuning Base section as well! I’ll continue expanding the CompetitionX Tuning Guide series and adding more beginner-focused content covering RC setup, maintenance and vehicle selection.

Thank you to everyone who visits, shares articles and supports CompetitionX!
