Losi Gasoline RTR 8IGHT Buggy and 8IGHT-T Truggy

Losi Gasoline RTR 8IGHT Buggy and 8IGHT-T Truggy

Losi has one-upped the gasoline group by being the first to drop an actual gas engine into a 1/8 scale buggy and truggy. Using a Dynamite .31ci gasoline engine, drivers get a chance to see and feel the benefits of this type of combustion.

Losi started with it’s amazing 8IGHT platform and retrofitted the Dynamite engine into place. The only other additional item needing a home on the chassis is the CDI unit, which was nestled right near the battery box. Other features include a Spektrum 7.4v 1300mAh LiPo battery, Losi’s stellar AVC (Active Vehicle Control) Technology, full bearings, 16mm shocks and massive 150cc fuel tank. Waterproof electronics are standard equipment and, get this, both the buggy and truggy come with Losi’s starter box all set up to work with the gasoline version!

So what are the benefits of gas over nitro? Well, for one, this gas buggy offers longer runtimes on a tank and requires less maintenance over its nitro-powered counterpart. Then there’s the power advantage. Now I haven’t driven one (yet), but I’ve been told that the gas-powered buggy (and truggy) offers GOBS of torque over the nitro-powered version.

Am I ready to try it out? HECK YA! How about you?
