There’s one reason why I don’t paint my own RC bodies (ok, I’m lying, there’s more than one), but ONE of the reasons is that I don’t like masking. I can never seem to get the masking tape to conform to a curved surface and, since my bodies require lots of masking, my paint jobs either look horrible or end up solid white.
That may all change after I try Tamiya’s new masking tape for curved surfaces. Available in 20m rolls and in 3 widths; 2mm, 3mm and 5mm, this tape is designed to hug curved surfaces where other tape would allow the paint to seep under.
Going to have to give painting a try again…
