Out of all the parts you can put on a drift car, the wheels and tires are probably the parts that stand out the most. Your choice of wheels can make or break the look of your entire drift package, and you tires can make or break your drift car’s handling. For this month’s ESRC Giveaway car, we’re mounting up a set of Scale Dynamics D62 Drift Tire Set.
The wheels are Scale Dynamics V16D Series 6-Spokers. These wheels look absolutely awesome and are available with a 10mm and 13mm offset. They’re shaped like normal TC wheels with an inner lip to catch the tire, but also include a separate ‘stretched sidewall’ ring to allow the tires to have an additional contact so you don’t scuff up your wheels. They’re molded from tough ABS plastic and will fit any drift car with a 12mm hex.
Wrapped around the V16D’s are Scale Dynamics D62 Drift tires. These tires slide right over the V16D wheels and have an overall outer diameter of 62mm. They’re 26mm wide and molded from polycarbonate, so they have excellent drift qualities and will last a long time. They also come with a set of tire decals – I’ll be installing those for you!
