Large-scale trail trucks are starting to show some force recently, with most starting life as Military Jeeps. They’re 1/6 scale, allowing a massive amount of detail as well as being very functional. FMS Model has just announced an old-school 1/6 Suzuki Jimny that checks all these boxes – and more! The level of detail on this rig is crazy with a full leaf-spring suspension, roll cage, opening rear bed door, super detailed interior, mirrors, etc. It comes as a RTR unit, featuring a 2.4GHz radio system, waterproof 2-in-1 ESC/receiver unit and a 550-brushed motor.
What We Like:
We have yet to delve into the 1/6 crawling segment but have been very interested in the Military Jeeps. Now, however, we’re LOVING this rig! The level of detail is top notch, It has a very road-going look to is while still looking like it can handle a good bit of terrain. This might be the rig that gets us into 1/6 scale trail trucking!
What We’re Not Sure About:
It’s a great looking rig, but one concern is parts availability. There are a few option parts available, however nothing about replacements. This could be an issue if you dump this rig over and break anything.
