JConcepts has announced a pair of new MT tires – the Firestorm Runner and Firestorm Racer. Both of these tires are designed for 1/10 scale Monster Trucks and work on different surfaces.
The Runners feature a low profile with shaved tread while the Racers use a low profile, crew-cut design. Both use an overlapping tread and altered sidewalls for maximum performance.

What We Like:
New treads for Monster Truck racing are always fun as they really help push the limits on these oversized, top heavy trucks! We’ve been dabbling in the MT world and have to say the performance you get from a good set of tires really is amazing. It’s cool to see a company like JConcepts completely embrace the 1:1 MT world and shift those ideas to 1/10 scale!
What We’re Not Sure About:
While it’s cool to see all the different treads coming out, it’s starting to get like any other form of racing – a tire game with way to many choices.
