That being said, these new JConcepts Slam-Tech MT inserts have been proven to creates a smoother rolling speed, more balance in the tire and help to minimize rebound in the tires off when jumping.
In addition, these new inserts are made from a unique ‘Slam-Tech’ material that actually drops their weight by roughly 14g, eliminating that as rotating mass at the wheels!

What We Like:
These inserts use the same basic tech as those found in offroad racing, so it only makes sense to see them enter the competitive side of Monster Truck Racing. Being lightweight also has its advantages in both the Open and Retro classes – more in the latter, of course. Definitely something to look into if you’re trying to gain the edge on your competition.
What We’re Not Sure About:
As MT tires don’t really wear out, de-bonding them from the wheels to replace the inserts isn’t a task I’m interested in. Nor is buying new tires. Maybe we need a beadlock-style MT wheel…
