Kyosho Dirt Master Ultima SB Buggy Kit | CompetitionX

So Kyosho has announced the Ultima SB Dirt Master buggy which looks to be an old school, rear-motor ride based on the Ultima RB5 chassis. This ride looks to fill a mid-level section of buggy racing where you can take it out and play or take it to a track and race.

It has the early generation chassis layout, a standard clear cab-back body, wing, full bearings, gear differential, oil-filled threaded shocks and more – just like we used to run prior to the high-end mid-motor rides you see today.

What We Like:
We raced a lot during the rear-motor chassis era, everything from stock to mod buggy and truck – it was a favorite. It would be fun to see a ‘vintage’ class come back that revolved around these rides.

What We’re Not Sure About:
They don’t perform quite like the mid-motor rides, however we did drive them on every surface available. Some may not like their ‘ill’ handling traits.
