A new company has popped up, Rebel RC, that is backed by some heavy hitters in the industry – including the full scale company Rebel Offroad. That being said, I introduce you to their first RC vehicle, the Rebel RC RJ Rebelcon. This is a fully-loaded 1/10 scale offroad truck that comes chock-full of both detail and features. There’s really a lot going on here, so let’s just hit some bullet points on this ride:
• Gorgeous Jeep body with tons of bolt-on details
• Clipless body mounting system with tilt-up feature
• Beadlock wheels with aggressive offroad tires
• Full set of LEDs installed
• Integrated internal fenders
• Metal frame rails with two speed transmission
• Metal links and oil-filled shocks
• Portal axles with metal drivetrain parts
• Hobbywing ESC and 550 motor
There’s more to this feature list – we could go on all day!
What We Like:
This truck reminds us of a cross between a few different manufacturers, but definitely a great start for a new truck. It is full-featured rig but uses standard ‘equipment’, making it easy to upgrade if needed. We LOVE the little things – the rear light lenses are NOT part of the body, the massive amount of lights included, the look is spot on and the 3S-capable ESC!
What We’re Not Sure About:
Unfortunately it’s not a new rig. This is the same model as the Abisma Sherpa, a European version of this rig that has been around for some time. That doesn’t make it any less cool, it’s just not as ‘groundbreaking’ as some might think.
