T-Works has introduced a new 54mm center driveline part for the Tamiya TC-01 Touring Car. This part replaces the stock 2-piece setup and will work in both the front and rear of the car.
What We Like:
While the OG center driveline is steel (and, as mentioned above, 2 pieces), we’ve seen quite a few aftermarket offerings in steel as well. This piece is much lighter, made from a strong 7075-T6 aluminum that saves over 2oz from the stock parts (that’s a huge cut in rotating mass). And, being a single piece, makes it easier to re-install after removing the center gearbox for maintenance (or gearing changes, or whatever). Best part – these will work in both the front OR rear of the TC-01!
What We’re Not Sure About:
Nothing we can think of – correct length, lightweight design, fits front and back – seems like an obvious upgrade to me!
