Tamiya has announced they will be re-releasing an old favorite, the Super Astute 2018 2WD Buggy!
This will be a limited edition re-re based on the original 1991 kit (which was then re-released in 2018) and will have the same features – 2.5mm FRP chassis, slightly larger battery pack area (however, it still only accepts shotgun-style packs), CVA oil-filled shocks, sealed gearbox with slipper clutch and a lightweight polycarbonate body and rear wing.

What We Like:
While we’ve never had one, we’ve always heard the Super Astute was one very capable 2WD buggy from Tamiya. That being said, it does have the appearance of an older, rear motor buggy that might actually be worthy on an offroad track. Might be interesting to get one to check out.
What We’re Not Sure About:
Nothing. Love that it even includes a lower polycarbonate chassis cover!
