Change the suspension on your M-07, M-08 or TC-01 easily with these new suspension mount shims from Tamiya.
What We Like:
The M-07, M-08 and TC-01 all use an odd suspension mount system that attaches horizontally instead of vertically. That means making some suspension changes (like camber) a bit of a pain – you have to remove the attachment screws, add shims and then re-assemble. Yes, it’s a pain. Using these shims, however, you won’t need to completely remove the attachments screws – simply loosen, slip these shims in place and re-tighten! Shims come in .2 and .3mm thicknesses, allowing fine tuning of your suspension. We also like the holes to allow us to install in tighter areas using a hex wrench.
What We’re Not Sure About:
.2 and .3mm – that’s great, but if I want to install a full 1mm, I’m going to need 5 .2 shims, taking up 1/2 of the 10 shims that come in the package. Maybe a bigger variety of shims would be great, like a .5 and 1mm shim.
