Tamiya’s VQS 2020 is a re-release of their legendary Vanquish 4WD buggy. Like that buggy, it features a plastic chassis, oil-filled shocks, a dual-gearbox 4WD drivetrain, racing wheels with 12mm hex adapters and large knobby tires.
The re-release, however, does have some minor upgrades included to bring the Vanquish to it’s 2020 status – a lightweight, pre-painted and pre-cut body shell, aluminum front upright and universal drive shafts, a 540-brushed motor and TBLE-02S ESC capable of driving a brushed or brushless motor.
In this video we get into the box to show you what the kit comes with and also talk about Tamiya’s new bad-ass ratcheting screwdriver! We’ll also be using that to assemble the VQS!
