Team Associated Factory Team DR10 Slipper Clutch | CompetitionX

Team Associated Factory Team DR10 Slipper Clutch | CompetitionX

Team Associated has announced a new FT Lockout Slipper Clutch for the DR10. This unique slipper ‘dynamically and independently controls the amount of slip created during launch’.

Using a 3-pad slipper design and fiberglass pads, the slipper clutch 4 lockout arms that flex outward as the slipper speed increases. Lockout ‘bands’ come in different durometers to control this outward flex, allowing you to tune the delay of the lockout arm engagement to track conditions.

What We Like:
This is certainly a cool piece of engineering and watching it in action is fascinating! The ability to control the engagement by simply replacing the lockout bands is ingenious and we love that it doesn’t mess with any other settings. Just watching it in action is also mesmerizing – very cool product!

What We’re Not Sure About:
Not knowing a whole lot about it just yet, we’re not sure how different it is than just adjusting the slipper clutch. I’m sure the ability to ‘change’ engagement based on speed and throttle is where this part shines. Guess we’ll have to get one to try out!
