Team Associated has launched another new vehicle on their 1/10 scale SC platform, this one geared more towards the oval crowd. Meet the SR10 Dirt Oval RTR, a 2WD SC chassis with a little shorter wheelbase than the DR10.
What We Like:
We certainly like the fact that the A-Team is stretching this platform out to different areas – first the DR10 and now the SR10. Some may think that ‘enough is enough already’, but we’ve seen other companies use a standard platform (with the mix of bodies, wheels and tires) for quite some time with great success. The SR10 includes a new, old-schoolish Dirt Oval body and a new set of stock car wheels and tires – love the different width guys! This RTR also comes in two flavors – RTR only or RTR with a LiPo combo.
What We’re Not Sure About:
The Dirt Oval crowd is quite particular about what enters their arena, however AE took a risk on the DR10 (Drag Racing Edition) and it seems to have paid off. We’re not quite sure if this is a good direction – I guess time will tell if it’s accepted as well as the DR10 was.
