Team Trinity HT-1980 Low Profile Brushless Servo | CompetitionX

Team Trinity HT-1980 Low Profile Brushless Servo | CompetitionX

With so many race-winning products over the years, Trinity thought it was time to take the next step – check out their new HT-1980 Low Profile Brushless Servo!

This servo is no joke in the Specs department. Starting with an all-aluminum case, the HT-1980 features a shortened 100mm servo lead, dual ball bearings, a titanium/steel gear train and some very impressive numbers – .083 speed and 250oz of torque (at 7.4v). Up the juice to 8.4 and you’re looking at a speed of .073 with the torque jumping to 264oz. All of this being fed through a (thankfully) now-industry standard 25T output spline.

What We Like:
First off, it’s great to see Trinity expanding their product line. Secondly, the numbers on this servo are pretty beastly for a low-profile unit, and we’re VERY thankful the output spline is 25T. This should be a really good servo for onroaders and offroaders that need to free up some space on the chassis.

What We’re Not Sure About:
Being a ‘first’ for the company, we’ll have to see how it does in the reliability department. It’s a pretty big ask to jump into a segment (servos) with so many other big names already flooding it.
