Traxxas Factory Five Hot Rods | CompetitionX

New from Traxxas are these pair of Hot Rod rides – a 33′ Coupe and a ’35 Truck! Both of these sit atop Traxxas’ 4-Tec 3.0 and come in RTR trim complete with XL’5 Waterproof ESC, a Titan 12T 550 brushed motor, digital waterproof servo and the TQ 2.4GHz radio system! Both cars come with some other cool features as well, including a clip-less body mounting system, LED lighting, 2.1″ Salt-Flat-style wheels a waterproof electronics!

What We Like:
The 4-Tec 3.0 chassis is becoming a very versatile chassis for Traxxas, allowing them to create quite a few different ‘styles’ of vehicles on it. That’s a bonus since, well, it’s a good chassis. Next up is the step forward in scale that has also been added – the bodies are bad ass, the wheel and tire combo is on point and we LOVE LOVE LOVE the addition of the clipless body system (surprised that’s not a ‘thing’ with every scale company so far). The Hot Rods are fast-ish (30+mph out of the box) but have monster upgrades for more speed and handling – even the color schemes on both of these look great! Traxxas seems to have something for everyone on this chassis!

What We’re Not Sure About:
We can’t really think of anything – even the price is in-line with their other similar vehicles (at around $320).
