Well now – it looks like the rumors of a new Traxxas Monster Truck are true! The new Sledge is a ground-up release that comes fully-assembled in RTR trim – all you need is a charger and some batteries and you’re good to go!
The Sledge comes with a 3.2mm aluminum chassis and solid drivetrain that can handle up to 6S of LiPo power! Soft suspension system, big tires and wheels and a clipless body/cage setup are other key features to this truck.
The electronics package consists of a metal-gear servo with a monstrous 486oz of torque, a VXL-6S/2000kV power combo and Traxxas’ TQi 2.4GHz radio system with TSM receiver.
The Sledge will be available in 4 colors – orange, green, blue and red (our personal favorite).
What We Like:
Umm, yeah – the truggy vibe is on point with this thing! We’re definitely loving the look of the Sledge – the body is cool, wheel and tire package is killer and that rear wing looks completely functional. Oh, and 6S. Yeehaw!!!! We’ve been in the market for a larger-scale basher to just mess around with and the Sledge just might be the rig we need!
What We’re Not Sure About:
As with all Traxxas vehicles, we’re not fond of the proprietary battery plug system.
