Vanquish Products has added a new 1/10 scale trail truck to their lineup – the VS4-10 Phoenix Portal. This new rig rolls on the popular VS4-10 platform with some small updates to fit the detailed Phoenix bodyset. 1.9″ Vanquish Incision KMC beadlock wheels are included with VXT tires wrapped around them.
There are some crazy cool features on this rig, most notably the molded axle housings with brass tube inserts, a massive 49° of steering angle, 80mm Incision shocks and a crazy-cool transmission that allows you to shift between 6.5% overdrive and 33% – servo activated with the flip of a switch!
What We Like:
Besides all of the amazing features, we really love the new overdrive/shifting transmission and dig features. We also ‘dig’ the fact that you can lock the overdrive into one position (either 6.5 or 33%) as well as locking OUT the dig – basically removing it’s function. Top that all of with a great looking body and Vanquish quality and you’ve got one killer rig!
What We’re Not Sure About:
Top-notch quality does come at a price. The VS4-10 Phoenix Portal rolls in at 499.99 in kit form before purchasing ANY electronics. Yes, you’ll need a motor and ESC, but this truck has the ability to use THREE full-size servos. The finished product could be an expensive one…
