The Traxxas Slash 2WD and 4WD use a holddown bar to keep the battery in place and, unfortunately, limits the size of the pack you can use. What if you want to go bigger? How about using Xtreme Racing’s carbon fiber battery tray insert!
This insert drops down into the battery tray and allows the use of taller packs – say 4S or 6S packs! The insert attaches to included mounts, making for a strong platform to keep your larger pack in place.
You will need to drill some holes for the mounts but, hey, you’re already juicing your machine out with larger packs – what’s a few more holes?
I sense some speed run (or insane drag car builds) coming soon!
