September 20, 2011
Event Name: JBRL Electric Series Round #7
Event Location: OC/RC Raceway – Huntington Beach, CA
Event Date(s): September 17, 2011 to September 17, 2011

The Jimmy Babcock Racing League (JBRL) series is one of the most popular series events in Southern California. With rounds all across SoCal, the OC/RC round is one of the premier events given its location and facility.

Team Associated was represented well with drivers in almost all the classes. The most prestigious classes, however, were 2WD and 4WD Modified Buggy. This is where Steven Hartson laid down the law with TQ runs in both classes and finished it off with two wins as well.

Hartson, utilizing Reedy batteries and LRP X12 motors in his JConcepts-equipped B4.1 and B44.1, was never challenged in the 4WD main event. However, a bobble in the 2WD main saw others lead, including teammate Chris Jarosz. With determination and raw speed, Hartson fought back to the front of the pack with only laps remaining in the event to claim his second victory of the long day.
