The ‘Electric Champs 2011′ was held last wekend at the Fanatix Racing Track in Stamata Attikis, near Athens, Greece. RCDevil.gr were organising the race and Greek Team Durango distributor Nick Nikolakopoulos from RCring.eu brought over Hupo Honigl to compete at the event.
The track is an 8th scale track and whilst it was large – it was still good to race. Qualifying took place on Sunday and Hupo managed to take all 4 rounds in 2WD with his prototype DEX210 buggy – and did the same in 4WD with the DEX410 for a domination of qualifying ahead of the likes of Shin Adachi who’d flown in from Japan to race.
In 2WD no one could touch Hupo as he blitzed the finals to take the win with the proto-DEX210. 4WD was a real fight however between Hupo and Shin Adachi and going into the 3rd leg of the A final either of these drivers could take the win. Hupo had bad luck when he lost a wheel early into the race however and had to settle for 2nd overall in 4WD.
