The JConcepts Indoor Nationals series made its second stop on the tour at Mike’s Hobby Shop just outside of Dallas, TX in Carrollton. The Team Associated supported event featured some top-level talent, including Steven Hartson, Kody Numedahl, Brent Thielke, and Mr. JConcepts himself, Jason Ruona.
The indoor facility features a mixed topsoil surface roughly 100 x 50′. The flowing layout saw lap times in the low 20s for most classes. From the first laps it was clear that the Reedy/LRP-powered vehicles of Hartson and Numedahl were ready to race. Once qualifying began, there was little doubt who would start on pole.
Setting the fastest time in 2WD Modified, 4WD Modified, and 4WD Short Course, Steven Hartson showed the fastest way around the circuit with his B4.1 Worlds Edition, B44.1, and SC10 4×4. In the 2WD Short Course class, Kody Numedahl and his FT SC10 set a time that was untouchable, ensuring his TQ grid position for the triple A mains.
