RC Tuning - Wheelbase

What is a Wheelbase?
The Wheelbase denotes the distance between the front and rear axles of your car and can be changed by moving spacers on the lower inner (or outer) hinge pin. Typically the front and rear of your car has these options with both ends having different effects on how your car performs.

Tuning with Wheelbase – Front
Shorter Wheelbase
• Better landing over jumps
• Better handling over small bumps
• Generally suited for tight, technical tracks

Longer Wheelbase
• Worse landing over jumps
• Better handling over small bumps
• Generally suited for open, bumpy tracks< Tuning with Wheelbase – Rear
Shorter Wheelbase
• Better off-power steering
• Worse on-power steering
• Generally suited for tight, technical tracks

Longer Wheelbase
• Less off-power steering
• Better on-power steering
• Generally suited for open, bumpy tracks
