Team Associated’s SC5M is a full-blown race-level kit, so we wanted to make sure that the radio system was on par with this truck. The awesome folks over at Hitec graciously shipped over one of their new Lynx 4S 2.4GHz computerized transmitters!
The Lynx 4S is a 4-channel pistol grip radio system that was designed from the ground up for both the high-level racer as well as the entry-level pilot looking for a radio to grow with. It features Hitec’s AFHSS 2.4GHz system, super-fast response time and a built-in antenna. The backlit LCD screen has an easy-to-navigate menu system and multiple, programmable switches to tune the radio to your liking. It also has a 30-model memory, meaning you can store 30 different cars in the radio, complete with different tuning.
I had to open this radio up and test it, of course, to make sure everything was working properly and have to say it’s a very comfortable transmitter. I was also happy to see that it comes with a steering dropdown, an addon that changes the position of the steering wheel for a more ergonomic feel.
