Tekno RC EB48.4 1:8 Scale E-Buggy Build

Tekno RC EB48.4 1:8 Scale E-Buggy Build

Tekno RC’s EB48 platform has been coming on strong over the past couple years. Their newest buggy has added a .4 to the name and features a slew of improvements over earlier models. Of course we were stoked to get one not just to review, but to post up an online build to help those that might need building tips.

Here’s the list of parts we’ll be using in this build – click the links for more information:
• #TKR8000 Tekno RC EB48.4 1:8 E-Buggy,
• #14015CRW AKA 1:8 Buggy Typo Pre-Mounts,
• #FUTK4905 Futaba 4PX Transmitter,
• #PTK-130T ProTek RC 130T Digital High Torque Metal Gear Servo,
• #PTK-5106-17 ProTek RC 4S 100C Silicon Graphene HV LiPo Battery,
• #TT2301 Tekin RX8 Gen2 ESC,
• #TT2386 Tekin T8i 1950kV Brushless Motor,
• Paint by WT Paint Designs,

Before we get started, though, there are a few tools we suggest you have on hand to make the build process much easier:
MIP Hex Driver Set
MIP 3.0 Hex Driver
STRC Shock Shaft Pliers
Xacto Hobby Knife
Hudy 17mm Wheel Wrench
Scotch Mounting Tape
Tekton Needlenose Pliers
Duratrax 3-Piece Body Scissors and Reamer Set

With any 1:8 scale builds, I also suggest using a cordless driver to make the build easier. If you have the budget, I suggest the following:
Makita DF010DSE 7.2V Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill
MIP Metric Speed Tip Set
MIP Standard Speed Tip Set
